Orange trail

A walk in the romantic landscaped gardens

Use your entrance ticket for Paleis Het Loo to visit the palace park, with its romantic landscaped gardens full of winding paths and a variety of trees, created in the early 19th century. The atmosphere is entirely different from the baroque palace gardens. The Orange Trail provides a glimpse into the personal lives of the Dutch royal family. Queen Wilhelmina would set up her easel here, deriving artistic inspiration from her natural surroundings. And King Willem III swam in the pond by the bathing pavilion.
